  Cheerful and efficient staff serving the drinks and good value decent quality food on a reasonably busy Sunday lunchtime. We'll worth stopping off at this place.

  In an area that is devoid of competition this place only survives as there is nowhere else to go to out for a drink if you live locally. The food is nothing to write home about and the bar is always understaffed. The time spent waiting to be served a drink can be an age. As it is food orientated, the floor staff spend most of the time dashing around serving meals. Once went in there for a late drink and actually saw the bar manager behind the beer pumps. She was chatting away to some restaurant punters who had just paid their bill. After the usual wait to get served (this time as the member of staff was still chatting away) we finally get some attention. This is not a bad thing, it makes a change not to wait for over worked staff to pause for breath, stop waiting on tables and come and serve you a drink. However the "Boss" made a very slow and deliberate look at her watch, and give us the " this is a bit late " stare. With a welcome like that it was time to make a sharp exit.
